Brief History of CGMI Greatness Center

CGMi Greatness Center was inaugurated on the 12th of March 2017 by Rt Rev Dr Festus Akhimien, PhD , Bishop of Abuja Bishopric of CGMi ( Church of God Mission International).CGMi Worldwide is headed by Archbishop Margaret Benson – Idahosa . The Church was founded by Archbishop Prof Benson Idahosa (1938-1998). We are a Pentecostal Church.

UNIQUENESS OF CGMI GREATNESS CENTER:

CGMi Greatness Center is the only church in CGMI worldwide that was inaugurated on the same day the entire world wide ministry celebrated the 19th anniversary passing on to blazing glory of her founder/ President Archbishop Prof Benson Idahosa, the father of Pentecostalism in Africa.

Interestingly the Head Pastor began his membership of the CGMi in 1972 after his conversion. Rev. Engr. Emmanuel Egbagbe as he is sometimes also called. Worked very closely with the founding Archbishop and the present leadership of the church even while still working in the public service . The Head pastor attended the All Nations for Christ Bible School between 1989-1991 and held various positions of leadership in Faith Arena which has always been the Seat of the Archbishop. That has given the church an amazing Exposure to the workings of Faith in doing signs and wonders.

UNIQUENESS OF CGMI GREATNESS CENTER...

Greatness Center is blessed with an amazing choir, led by our Music Director, Min. Osaghae Austine, who has previously served as a music director in other church choirs before joining us. Over time, we’ve had remarkable experiences of people passing by who felt compelled to stop and listen during our rehearsals. Our worship is a beautiful blend of modern style and deep spirituality.

 

Our services are truly unique. We begin with vibrant Praise and Worship, pray with the guidance of Scriptures, and read from our global daily devotional, Above Only. The Word is delivered with great grace, divine wisdom, and the power of the Holy Ghost. Every Sunday, we take testimonies, and they continually reveal God’s unfailing faithfulness to us day by day. Indeed, at Greatness Center, we believe that Everyone a Testimony.

UNIQUENESS OF CGMI GREATNESS CENTER...

Our midweek communion services are deeply faith-inspiring, often accompanied by powerful ministrations. In every gathering, the Holy Spirit manifests His presence among us in undeniable ways. It is common to see people come under the anointing, touched by the strong presence of God.

We have witnessed healings, miracles, and deliverances. Many lives have been transformed—spiritually, financially, and in countless personal ways. Truly, we have more testimonies than we can publish.

On our first anniversary, we joyfully launched our publication titled Exceeding Faith—an amazing magazine designed to inspire and uplift. Through its pages, we invite you into life-changing encounters with God like you have never experienced before.

After our Sunday morning services, we share a warm time of fellowship over free tea, beverages, and light snacks. We are a friendly, welcoming, and homely church—yet spiritually strong, with deep foundations in God’s Word.
